Sharing some inspiration of the light, modern & neutral look we’re going for in the kitchen at our new home. At first I didn’t like the sage green cabinets, but now they’re really growing on me! I think my biggest issue about the kitchen is the busy mosaic tile, so I think that will be the first to go! We haven’t decided what to do with the flooring yet, (and it somehow doesn’t seem to bother my husband) so I think a nice big rug will be a temporary fix until we figure that part out.
A. Replace existing mosaic tile back splash with a neutral gray and tan marble.
B. Remove popcorn ceilings and paint the ceiling white; update lighting fixture.
C. Replace flooring with modern neutral tile.
D. Replace white stove and vent hood with professional stainless steel appliances.
E. Update silver fixtures to brass. *Still haven’t 100% decided on this. (Too trendy?)
F. Replace kitchen window with double pane glass; add white trim and window sill.
Obviously some of these will be long term, but at least we have a plan of action!
